Utsha conducted its third successive art workshop at Barbil in Odisha. This Barbil Art project will primarily focus on two areas.
The first area of focus was an art workshop by contemporary artists who created their own works aimed specifically at an interactive mentoring process towards young emerging art practitioners/art students from various art colleges of Odisha. Each artist was also part of a presentation and discussion about their works.
The second area of focus of the project was to facilitate an interaction between the artists and local communities of Barbil (children, youth and adults) in a dynamic dialogue aimed at exploring the idea of Art as a catalyst of change within small non-art related communities. It was envisioned to engage and create sustainable artistic ventures, which can become part of an ongoing dialogue within the community.
