RESIDENCY Open Day –Priyesh Gothwal

As part of his Utsha residency, Priyesh spent a month exploring Bhubaneswar’s cultural heritage and especially its vertical architecture. In his work for the residency, he explored the correlation between his observations on the city’s vertical structures and compositions from his native Rajasthan’s Mewar School of miniature painting.

About the artist

Priyesh has completed his Master’s in Fine Arts (MFA) from Shiv Nadar University, Delhi. Priyesh uses architectural drawing and blueprints to draw inquiries towards the idea of accommodation. He works with text and sound to elaborate a detailed view at methods and formats of inspection.
